eMINTS Administrator Program
“I’ve been an eMINTS trainer for ten years and the manager of the program in our district for six of those years.
In all that time I have never seen a program that connects teachers and students in the way eMINTS does. It as a culture transforming program. Teachers come out changed in how they see both instruction and their students. It’s a game changer like no other.”
~Jeremy King, Baldwin County, Alabama, 2018
Innovation in the Heartland is not just another 1:1 initiative that puts devices and makerspaces in schools without concern for whether they transform learning, nor is it a curriculum that tells teachers what to teach. Instead, it is focused on improving student achievement by helping teachers transform their classrooms into highly-engaging student-centered learning communities. It supports teachers in all aspects of designing and implementing effective standards-based instruction, promotes STEM education using design-based problem-solving, and fosters critical 21st century skills such as creativity, grit, and self-regulation.
In order to foster an innovative school culture capable of achieving these goals, teachers, trainers and administrators participate in two years of professional development. |
